Gavin's first Easter weekend... the festivities!

So this is Gavin's first Easter weekend! That is pretty exciting! Not that we are religious and celebrate Easter, but what kind of mom would I be if I didn't make him an Easter Basket? Granted, he has no clue what an Easter basket is, why I would give him one, or even what the heck is inside. Actually, he probably knew that the sweet potatoes were in there. My boy loves his food, just like his daddy. So, yes, I put together a "home made basket" with some of the things that I thought he would"appreciate"! Of course I had to get him a hooded monkey towel, and added some jars of his favorite snacks,a Sesame Street book, a I love daddy onesie, and some toys! I think he mostly appreciated the sound of the cellophane that the basket was wrapped in.  All in all it was a success and it made me really happy :)

I also made Brian, the furry kids, and my sister a basket as well! What kind of wife would I be if I didn't stuff a basket of goodies for my husband? You know he secretly was hoping I would make him one ;) I added a couple of shirts that I knew he would like! Roxy and Marley loved the treats and ropes from their basket! Although their favorite thing was our used socks rolled in a knot (they were clean, don't worry). They are so easy to please!

I know if my mom was here, she would still be making me Easter baskets stuffed full of Peeps! I want to do cute and thoughtful things like she did ALL the time!! So mom, thank you for setting an example. I know its a one of the small things in life. You probably didn't realize how much I appreciated it and how much it always meant to me. Well, it did, every time! I'm sorry if I didn't tell you as often as I should have! I miss you, mom!

Brian and I took Gavin to the park today.  It was such a nice day. It was his first time playing in the actual playground! He LOVED the swing.  He was having the best time! Enjoy some pics!
